Another weekend, another comic convention for former TV actor Keith Mahar. This week it’s Supercon; run by sleaze-ball promoter Gil Burkhaulter. Keith is already having a lousy day, week, year which is only made worse when he arrives at the VIP check-in table and the “con” intern doesn’t even recognize him. Most people don’t recognize Keith. His only claim to fame was as a child star in the 80’s on the very non-PC television show Tex Johnson U.S. Marshall. Keith reluctantly joins his close friends Matt Wheeler (cartoon voice-over actor), Allison McNealy (comic book artist), and Brock Hutchinson (80’s TV star who recently came out of the closet) who are also working the convention, but things take a turn for the worst when Keith’s former co-star and Supercon’s big ticket draw for the weekend–Adam King decides to have our heroes fired and banned from the convention with the help of the convention promoter. This launches Matt, Keith, Allison, and Brock on a crusade to bring down King and Burkhaulter in the most epic way imaginable. Over the 4th of July weekend, our reluctant heroes plan to take down the bad guys while executing the most elaborate heist the world of pop-culture has ever seen. |
